A Letter Written In Love

To my Dearest Child:

As I attempt to write these words, I am pulled by the urge to stop and go downstairs, where you are sleeping. Quietly I want to pick you up and hold you in my arms.

Tony Weaver, letter, child, words, quietly, world, love, mother, happy, remember, heart, father, God, bond, life, platter, blessing, decision, answer, poemsFrom the first moment you came into this world, I have wanted to do nothing but love you. Even now as you have reached the stage of growth, where being in your mother's arms is the only place you feel happy and safe, I still look forward to the brief moments when my presence in the room lights up your face with a smile. Just as it has been since the day your mother and I married, I can not remember what life was like without either of you in it or how it even existed.

As you go your own way down life's steep and curvy path, please know my heart walks with you. Your pain will be my pain as well as your happiness will always make me smile with joy.

My child, I will not always have the answers or the magical words to make everything right, but I will never stop striving to be your best friend and the best father God will allow me to be. In the days to come, we will not always see eye to eye, but know little one - my love for you will never stop growing, but instead will continue to strengthen with every passing moment. To you my child, I can honestly say - my love for you somehow increases each and every day.

"I Love You"

Dad

Thoughts...

  • Never forget, little one, God loves you and will always be there for you if you will simply let him be.

  • The bond you have already started building with your mother will continue to grow stronger each and every day of your life.

  • Also remember, my child, you won't be handed everything on a silver platter, but you will never truly want for something you need.

  • I might not always be able to find the words to say it or the actions to show it, but you are the joy of my life. I thank God every day for the blessing your mother and I received in you.

  • As long as God is willing, I will always be here to protect you from anyone or thing that scares you.

  • When you are faced with a tough decision, my child, look in Gods words for the answer. If you are still unsure, look into your heart and use it to make your decision. You will grow up learning the lord's teaching and your heart will remember them when you are confused.

Poems

Call Him Father and Ask

Through out our lives When darkness Falls all around.

Confusion sets
In and brings our
World, tumbling down.

Call for help
From above,

Call him Father
And ask-
For his love.

Call him Father
And ask for
What you need.

Call him Father
And no longer
Will your emotions
Bleed.

It is written
In his words.

Call him Father
And ask-
If you want to be
Heard.

Call out to God
And he will
Reply.
Call him Father
And ask.

His love will
never deny.

Call him Father
And ask
For what your
Heart desires.

Call him Father
And his blessings
Will rain down
In refreshing
Showers.

Call him Father
And ask
When you are in
Doubt.

Finally learn
What his love
Is all about.

Just Call Him Father.
