Magic Mushroom Lamp Co. was started in 1979 by Artist, Entrepeneur Harry Pinsent, an Englishman with a vision of a very unusual Lamp. Since the company's birth, they have flourished into a very successful business. Their lamps have been bought by collectors of all ages and are sold in the Finest " Boutiques, Galleries, Furniture Stores and Giftshops." The material that is used in the crafting of their product is called "Oxylite © " a synthetic sculpting material. Each lamp and waterfall is hand crafted and no two are exactly the same, which is unique in todays world of mass production.

For a sample of their work, the item in the picture is designed as a table lamp with real running water, it holds approximately half a gallon. This lamp has a small pond near the stem. Water cascades over rocks to a larger pond below, surrounded by the look of river rocks and volcanic rock. "Different sounds of running water can be achieved by moving stones to various positions along the rim of the top reservoir." All their waterfall lamps are self contained, incorporating a small pump. Therefore, no plumbing is required and they also act as a humidifier.
