Kaity's Craft Corner For Kids - This is a nice craft to put you in the mood for spring. It is easy and it looks so cheery on my bedroom wall.

This is a nice craft to put you in the mood for spring. It is easy and it looks so cheery on my bedroom wall. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did!


Supplies and Tools - kids, crafts, do it yourself, Kaitlyn Krysiak, Flexi-Foam, Josh Krysiak, photographer, bedroom, wall, mirror, tools, supplies, spend time having fun, kids crafts

Supplies you will need:

  1. Flexi-Foam Sheet (12" x 18")
  2. Round Mirror (6" in diameter)
  3. Tacky glue
  4. Modge podge
  5. Sheet of flowers
  6. Ribbon (approx. 12 inches)
  7. Fabric Paint (optional)

Tools you will need:

  1. Dinner plate (12 inches)
  2. Scissors
  3. Thin marker
  4. Sponge paint Brush


Step 1
1. Place the dinner plate on the Flexi-Foam and use the thin marker to trace the shape of the plate onto the flexi-Foam. Put the plate aside when done.

2. Take the mirror and place it in the center of the circle you just drew. Use the thin marker to trace the shape of the mirror onto the Flexi-Foam. Put the mirror aside when done.

3. Cut the Flexi-Foam around the edge of the larger circle.

4. CLICK HERE to print the sheet of flowers. If you only have a black and white printer, color the flowers with markers. Using scissors cut out all the flowers. CLICK HERE for more flowers.

5. Oh yeah, we're kids. Have Fun Too!!

6. Arrange the flowers in the rim around the flexi-floam to get an idea of good placement of the flowers. Remove the flowers and set aside.

7. Use your sponge paint brush to spread the modge podge around the rim of the circle. Stick the flowers on the modge podge. It works like glue. Make sure you press them down hard.

8. When the Modge podge dries, put another layer of modge podge over the top of all the flowers. Spread it out evenly. Let it dry.

9. Take the mirror and cover the back with Tacky glue.

10. Place it in the center of the flex-foam and push it down hard. Let it dry over night.

11. Take the scissors and carefully poke a hole in the top of the flexi-foam.

12. Feed the ribbon through the hole and tie it together. This is what the mirror will hang on the wall from.

13. Hang your finished mirror on the wall for all to enjoy!
