Kaity's Craft Corner For Kids - For this issue of Dreams Alive  I am making a Christmas angel. You can make one to if you follow these steps. Have a good time making you craft.

For this issue of Dreams Alive I am making a Christmas angel. You can make one to if you follow these steps. Have a good time making you craft.

Have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Chanukah, and a Happy Kwanzaa.


Supplies and Tools - kids, crafts, do it yourself, Kaitlyn Krysiak, sugarloaf valley, christmas, angel, Scissors, Felt, Wooden sphere, HOT glue gun, styrofoam cone, gold ribbons

Items you will need:

  1. Scissors
  2. Felt
  3. Wooden sphere
  4. HOT glue gun
  5. Styrofoam cone
  6. Gold ribbons
  7. Gold stars
  8. Paint
  9. Pencil
  10. Pen
  11. Paint brush
  12. Gold doily
  13. Gold pipe cleaners
  14. Sheet of thin cardboard

Step 1 - Paint your wooden sphere peach then set it aside to dry.

Step 2 - Hot glue the felt to the styrofoam. Be careful the glue gun will be hot.

(You can try other colors of felt or fabric and make your angel totally unique!)


Step 3 - Trim off excess felt.

Step 4 - Create angel arms. Take a pipe cleaner and fold it twice. Twist the pipe cleaner together.

Step 5 - Cover the pipe cleaners with the leftover felt. Glue the felt on.

Step 6 - Wrap a pipe cleaner around the end of each arm to make mittens and then glue them onto the angel

Step 7 - Fold a gold doily in half.

Step 8 - Glue the gold doily to the back of the angel to make wings.

Step 9 - Finish painting the wooden sphere by painting a face.

Step 10 - Glue the head on the angels body.

Step 11 - Glue the gold ribbons on the angels head to make hair.

Step 12 - Cut a piece out of you other doily and glue it to the angels dress to make a decoration.

Step 13 - Roll the stars into a circle and place it upon the angels head as a halo.

Step 14 - Cut a small rectangle out of cardboard and glue it in the angels hands to make a book.

Step 15 - You're all done! Put your angel in a nice place for you to see.
