Color is one of the most important elements in any decorating scheme. The impact is undeniable. You make a decorating statement through color choices when they are combinations of brilliant primary hues, soft pastels, or even a no color scheme of blacks, whites and greys.

Colors, they're everywhereDo you live in a warm or cold climate? Is the room shady or filled with sunlight? Will the room be used for reflection or repose and quiet times, or is it an activity room?

You can use color to accent or counter balance these attributes. By choosing either warm or cool colors . . all colors fall into these two groups, with of course the exception of the neutrals . . . black and white mixes.

Warm colors reflect all the energy of the sun and earth and add a feeling of conventionality.

The tangy reds, yellows and oranges are ideal for rooms with exposures to the north or east . . . since the light cools the area . . . they are action colors, making a room seem lively and happy.

Cool colors are evening hues of blue, green and purple and are soothing. We use them in rooms with southern or western exposures or for a restful atmosphere anywhere.

Have fun creating your favorite color scheme. You can find them everywhere, your favorite china, a pleasing photo and of course your favorite fabric. Have fun, they're everywhere . . . you will find one if you just look. As always, just click HERE and you'll get any additional help you need.
